Minutes of May meeting Approved as amended
Re-instatements were addressed:
Niles Aseret is out of Town and does not wish to resign. John will talk to
him about July.
Sandi Perry was re-instated as the Vice-Chair of Nashville.
Doug Kirby was not re-instated for a lack of a second.

Floyd Ayers will assist Melissa Shelby and Anita Prevatte in Manchester with
the caucus and location.
Memphis will be at St.Ann's family Life Center 4965 Stage Rd. Memphis.
Jackson at Cumberland Presbyterian Gym at Hwy. 45 by-pass, Nashville will be
at the United Methodist Family area in West Nashville Charlotte Ave.
Knoxville will be in the City-County Building on Main St., Kingsport is
moved to Greeneville and is being handled by Don and Pat Merzlak at the
courthouse. Chattanooga is at the State office building.
In April TNNAC voted to spend $150.00 on fliers. Tom will design fliers and
Lynn will copy at Kinko's and mail to all who signed in at the Caucuses in
2003.
Tom moved we accept Dale Mitchell as the Nashville Alternate. Passed
It was discussed and passed that since you can only Vote in your own Caucus
area and that we have TNNAC staff working outside their areas that they be
allowed to send in an Absentee ballots.

By request of the Manchester caucus the TNNAC board will let the Caucus
decide who represents them. Manchester will determine placement of 2007 and
2009 board members by voting members. The top vote getter will be Chair
(2007) and the next will be vice-chair (2009).

Lynn will send extra fliers and sign in sheets to each caucus chair.
Indian Preference was discussed, Vicky motioned that we will accept State
cards that are legislatively recognized by their state and Tennessee State
recognized cards. PASSED
We'll use the 1990 recognition criteria for proof, For Indian Preference a
person should send a copy of their cards or if no cards, proving by
genealogy; they can come before the TNNAC board at a regular meeting and
with their proof to be verified. Closed session with no notes taken no pens,
no nothing. If using genealogy it should be certified.

We broke at 12:30 for a working lunch.

In the TNNAC poll of who votes this time on Commissioners it was voted that
in 2005 everyone voted as they did in the 2003 elections. In 2007 this will
change.
Tom moved and Sandi 2nd that any one participating in any TNNAC election
shall provide 21 signatures. PASSED

It was motioned that all delegates are residents, 18 or older and accept
nominations from the floor. 15 delegates and 5 Alternates
TNNAC will fill vacancies from the delegate lists.
Persons can be delegates who are not at the caucus.
The Referendum must pass a majority of the votes cast to go to the
convention and a majority of the caucus areas. (4)
The TNNAC complaint form is in effect and available online. It must be filed
within 30 days listing persons affected and witnesses.
