Statement of Suitability as Commissioner
I have worked with Native Peoples as an officer in the Far Away Cherokee/NAIA of Memphis continually since 1985. As President and board member our duties were to provide for the needs of those people of Native Heritage, which provided me with the knowledge necessary to apply the community programs to help in the everyday requests from those who are indigenous to our area as well as those in transition in Memphis. This experience is valuable in knowing my Native Community, their needs and they variety in cultures.

My years as a career Marines’ wife allowed me the opportunity to learn one of life’s most valuable lessons. The variety of people and places and the opportunity to learn from new experiences and the personal growth as a person. The strength gained from independence as a Marine’s wife made leadership possible.
