6. Description of suitability as member of Advisory Counci:

While in grad school in Vermont in 94-95 I was exposed to the study of Indian 
law and culture. The learning experience impressed me in many ways. Upon returning to Tennessee, I have tried to find ways to help Native people and help with issues. My membership in NAIA and on the BOD has given me insight to issues and problme I didn't recognize. I am a strong advocate for a workable TCIA because it can help to bring a form of unity in TN which Indian people MUST have. I believe my experience in the workings of state government and with many environmental groups can be an asset to the Advisory Council and an aide to the TCIA. Although I lack an identifiable blood line with Indian people, my heart and spirit is right there with them.

support of the Mercury Capsule Space Program, and service at other air bases.

of Alliance for Native American Indian Rights; Legal Counsel for the Alliance; 
legal counsel for individual persons in the Tenn Indian Community;
